A quarter of a century has passed since “Klangphase 2”, the last release on Planet Pump Records – a label that was founded in Leipzig in the early 1990s and was known and appreciated far beyond the city limits for its straightforward yet playful techno. The original members have now gotten older, started families - or simply haven't grown up yet. But one thing has never changed: her love for music and her unwavering passion for producing. On the contrary: Over time they have gained a lot of experience and their productions have now reached a completely new, professional level.

At the beginning of the year, Sascha Müller (Psychocandies) asked me if I wanted to do my part for Netlabel Day and contribute a track. Full of enthusiasm, I immediately agreed, only to later realize that time was running out. Too much on my mind, too many projects at once - my problem again. At the last minute, I found a track that had been hidden in my infamous drawer since 2021. Since I recognized potential, I got to work on it, as always at the last minute, changing a few nuances here and there and giving my Waldorf Pulse a voice again.

The theme of the track is "Stupid Love" - ​​​​a reflection on how crazy love can sometimes be. Whether it's the passion for music, the relationship with your better half or the incessant urge for toxic bonds and intense, physical music - love has many facets.

Stanley Hottek releases a new track on one of Sascha Müller's labels - this time on a 1.44 megabyte floppy disk! An original decision that deserves respect and makes us smile. If you want to experience the tracks, you can get a special floppy drive to enjoy them on GhostFloppy Recordings. The track is available for €2.50 on Sascha's label Ghostfloppy Recordings or for a donation on Stanley's Bandcamp page.

Stanley Hottek proudly presents his latest release "Cvant Discovery" as a free guest contribution on Sascha Müller's renowned label Psychocandies. The three tracks are the result of his live set in Rathenow in 2023 and combine electronic elements with broken beats and a pinch of FM modulation. This creative fusion is a clear example of the positive influence of musical exchange. The collaboration between Stanley Hottek and Sascha Müller, whose "Escape EP" was released in February 2024 on Klangbild's acid label Echoes of the Future, shows the dynamism and diversity within the electronic music scene.

This record even found its way into DJ Rush's record bag. Funnily enough, we didn't discover this little nugget of information until 20 years later. People were definitely excited. I still remember trying out this record in my beat-up Peugeot at a traffic light near my first apartment. There was a commotion on platform 3 and the ladies at the lights found the noise quite amusing. Who would have thought that a funky traffic light jam would find its way onto DJ Rush's playlist? Life is full of surprises!

Sascha Müller, a German artist, DJ and producer, has crossed stylistic boundaries in his career, venturing into genres from AcidHouse and EBM to Cosmic, Synth and Krautrock. With an extensive discography spanning over three decades, he has released music under his name and various pseudonyms and participated in numerous projects. His impressive discography includes releases on renowned labels such as Universal Music, ZYX Music, Electronic Music Foundation, Teknotika Records (USA), Intrauterin Recordings, Mille Plateaux and Force Inc. A significant figure in the acid, acid house, hard techno and techno genres, Sascha Müller was recognized on discogs.com and was nominated for the QUARTZ Electronic Music Awards in 2006. As a DJ, he has appeared at events such as Thunderdome and the Love Parade and has hosted the monthly show '90s Rave Radio' on EmsVechteWelle since 2010. In addition to dance music, Sascha Müller is active in music production for screen, film and stage/theatre, with his work having been presented at renowned events such as the Cannes International Film Festival and the International Film Festival Berlin. Berba PT's break with reality on Submit Records

Berba, a hard techno youth from Guimarães, Portugal, delivers a powerful EP with "Mechanical Bodies" on Submit Records. The tracks, including "Cooking Cookies" and "Mechanical Bodies", fuse raw energy with innovative techno elements. Available for free, this EP marks Berba's bold step into the world of electronic music. A sonic trip into the darkness that takes the listener on an intense journey through the world of techno.

Six years after "Forget The Past", "Fight or Die" represents the second step into the future for Morbus M., the dystopian downbeat division of René Klimaczewski (aka Klima, aka Exocet). The second album features 13 tracks, including a remix by the_empath, who is one half of HANDS labelmates Trackologists. Musically, "Fight or Die" is definitely a continuation of Morbus M.'s debut, with heavy beats set against intensely dark atmospheres, sounds of unclear origin and voice samples. In terms of content, Morbus M. goes one step further: the pessimistic political statements and the emotionally stressful implications take the listener on a journey along the unfathomable abyss. Morbus M. presents a very homogeneous album with tempting features: the cinematic heaviness of "Inside Out" or "Sad About", the industrial heaviness of "NBK" or "Fight Or Die" (which is also an honest recommendation for the more adventurous clubs), the trip-hop shuffle of "5000" or "Sad About" or the warm electro lines of the_empath remix, all of which help to keep the tension high! M disease conjures up a world where there is only one choice: fight or die!

Void:r guest on Submit Records. We are pleased to welcome Void:r to our label. As the founder and operator of the electronic music platform Void:Code, which focuses on the industrial, techno and EBM genres, Void:r presents three impressive pieces of electronic industrial, techno, EBM music.

The tracks are characterized by energetic beats and pulsating synthesizer lines and are therefore the focus of this release. As usual, you can download our music for free or use it as a donation under the Creative Commons license (BY-NC-SA). On June 3, 2022, it became dark again in Leipzig. DJ Stromtod's first release on Submit Records can also be understood as an unofficial compilation by WGT Noisefloors. In addition to strong industrial techno grooves from DJ Stromtod, this release also offers very different remix tracks from other artists. A listening pleasure, sometimes floating, sometimes painful. We keep stomping... Especially in today's difficult times, it is particularly important to make your own attitude heard towards supposed do-gooders and ultimately crazy people. Stanley Hottek and Bigalke use the musically harder ANTI key for this. Dystopian, dark, gloomy, painful and passionate - no dark cellar (preferably the one in the still) stays empty here for long. Use your voice, take to the streets, show them that we are louder.

Martin Kokott was born in Silesia in 1979, but moved to Germany in 1984 with his parents and two older brothers. He developed a fascination and love for music at an early age. Inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Depeche Mode, Talk Talk and Duran Duran, he integrates typical elements of this era into his music.

His music with the song “Infected” is particularly popular on TikTok. You can clearly see the musical influences in his music. Although it's atypical for Submit, we decided to release it because we just liked it.

Submit Records welcomes a new artist from Spain: Juanhhh. His first release on Submit is an extraordinary technological creation that will keep everyone dancing. With distorted spirits and pulsating beats, Juanhhh will take you on an unforgettable journey. We are pleased to introduce you to this talented new voice from the international techno scene.

The Violation achieves a perfect balance between technoid complexity and industrial roughness, fused into one through the skillful use of well-structured rhythms. Amplifying bass pulses and varied synthesizer chords are enriched by scattered noises and voices, creating powerful undertones of fear and menace. By transforming Kean's guidelines into music, Klima develops a unique style of digital sequences and human feeling that defines an almost unreal post-industrial atmosphere. Exocet is a melting pot of sounds that exude power and movement, complete with a pounding, relentless remix from US electro-industrial legends Manufactura - a truly fine conclusion to a milestone in the neutral zone between electronica and industrial.

For their second album, Exocet transformed from two people to a one-person band. In addition to realizing his own creativity, R. Klimaczewski was also responsible for implementing Dave Kean's ideas and inspirations into the music of this project. The result was their first CD in 2008. Unfortunately, Mr Kean passed away last year before new tracks could be implemented. Now, in loving memory, Klima continues with Exocet as a solo project, a challenge that he mastered masterfully.

It's a dark picture that already emerges in the intro of "Forget the Past", when police sirens and metal sounds ring out. The press release describes the album as a journey to the inner apocalypse and hits the nail on the head. You are constantly confronted with abysses that are normally kept away from the subconscious. The world can be a cruel place, especially when dealing with issues such as terrorism, war, crime or the collapse of any infrastructure, amplified by voice samples and field recordings. Gunshots, creaking machines, people wheezing and similar unsavory noises can be heard here. The arrangements are danceable-hypnotic or ambient-like with deep booming soundscapes and church organs, which gives the whole thing a macabre undertone. Distorted instruments such as violins or guitars can occasionally be heard, but driving beats form the backbone of each song. On "Forget the Past" the fall of all civilization becomes clearly visible in one's mind's eye, and the album leaves a lasting impression. It's a wonderfully disturbing experience that lasts a long time.

Two years after "Grotesque Consumer," R. Klimaczewski, aka Exocet, continues his artistic vision right where he left off with "Consequence." It is a high quality and detailed mesh of hard sound hits, complex rhythmic patterns, massive synthesizer layers and cinematic samples that reflect his own perspective on IDM, ambient and industrial music.

There was a time when Hottek still used names like Stan-Lee, Soylent Green, Klangphase or Timetrax. Under the leadership of Steffen Kuschel from Soundbasemusic in Leipzig, he released with his friend Uwe Schroeder alias Georg Holz on various labels such as Planet Pump, Wheel Works or Leypzik Records. These 4 tracks also originate from this time. Probably already 15-20 years old, these are demos that were never published on these labels. Back then, no one knew anything about mixing or equalizing or that you never give a mix with over 0db to the vinyl pressing manufactur. we tried to get the best out of the pieces. fast, loud, as primitive as possible and sometimes a bit simple.

let's make a fresh sound. I present you my latest release from the last few weeks of studio work. jam one and jam two were created purely live, metaphase and aezelove, on the other hand, are classic arrangement results. where metaphase is still kidding you and at the end isn't really an intro, aezelove comes across as a fat electro track. jam one & two pull on your dancing leg and open your front immediately after the lockdown to let out everything that has accumulated over the months. thanks for your support! cheers stan

When the Submit Records digital division was launched in early 2013, things were already heating up - and the fire has not gone out to this day! In just two years, a whopping five releases were released on all common streaming platforms. But that's just the beginning - the next releases are already being planned.
